Students at Summit Academy receive a transformative educational experience thanks to the incredible support of our generous community. For students who struggle to find success in a conventional classroom, Summit Academy is a place where they can thrive. Each student’s learning challenges are understood and met using a whole child approach- we celebrate and develop a child’s strengths, as well as addressing their area of need. This is achieved through our:
Summit Academy’s annual expenses are not covered by tuition and fees alone. This year, we are launching a new annual fund campaign called the Mountaintop Fund. Over the next five weeks you will have the opportunity to make a gift that will impact the lives of our students. The fund kicks off on Thursday, September 18 during the Community Foundation of Louisville’s Give for Good campaign. We will be highlighting Summit’s community impact throughout the day on social media and we invite you to follow along!
The introduction of the Mountaintop Fund necessitates a revision of the longstanding Mountaintop Breakfast tradition. Instead of a fundraising event, the Breakfast will now be an opportunity to acknowledge and express our gratitude for donors like you who contributed to the Mountaintop Fund. This year, we invite all Mountaintop Fund donors to celebrate Summit at the Mountaintop Breakfast on the Thursday, November 13.
Every gift, regardless of its size is important to Summit’s success. Recurring gifts provide an ongoing, reliable source of funding for the school and allows you to make smaller, more manageable contributions. Even $10 a month goes a long way! To set up a recurring gift, go to our website or contact our Director of Development, Sandy Bowling (sbowling@summit-academy.org). We also invite you to join our leadership giving groups by making a larger contribution if you are able.
The Soaring Eagle Society was founded in 2004 at Summit Academy's first Mountaintop Breakfast. Soaring Eagles are faithful donors who make unrestricted multi-year pledges of $1,000 or more per year for five years. These contributions allow us to confidently plan for the future and are invaluable to the fulfillment of our mission.
Summit Academy was founded in 1992 by Margaret Thornton and Rosemary Middleton. Members of this society have made a one-time contribution in one of these levels: ▸ $10,000+ ▸ $5,000-$9,999 ▸ $2,500-$4,999
Donations to the Mountaintop Fund can be made here or by contacting our Development office. We invite you to join us in supporting the mission of Summit Academy and the impact it has on our students. Thank you in advance for your contributions to this year’s Mountaintop Fund.
Sincerely,

My daughter has ASD and has always struggled in other school settings due to her unique learning style and social skill differences. Since joining the Summit family, she has thrived and grown at an astounding rate! Most importantly though, she feels loved, supported, and accepted – and these things are priceless.
Upper School Family
We are so thankful for the relationships we have built with her teachers, the staff, and families of other Summit students. Our daughter is thriving because her teachers are figuring out creative and innovative ways to work with her. I firmly believe that she would not be doing this well had we enrolled her elsewhere.
Lower School Family
Please consider a gift today. Your contribution can make a life changing impact on the students of Summit Academy.
