Summit Academy is a neuroaffirming community.

What does this mean? Neurodiversity is a concept that emphasizes the uniqueness and value of the differences that exist in brain structure and function across individuals. These variations are not deficits or disabilities. Summit values the different strengths and abilities that neurodivergence brings and believes that each person’s unique perspectives and ways of thinking can enrich society.

To me, what’s meant by Summit being a “Neuroaffirming Community” is that it's open and welcoming to anyone who may think or act a bit differently than others. On top of that, Summit works to provide students with the best possible education that fits their needs and how their brain ticks/works compared to others.
